I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2018, with a B.S. in Computer Science. My education at West Point prepared me to work well in teams in an academic environment through our capstone working on a project for Picatinny Arsenal, which produced an initial prototype that earned the award for “Best Solution to a Societal Problem,” and inspired confidence to continue funding the project for the next generation of capstone teams. Additionally, my time at West Point afforded me the opportunity to earn the C1 Additional Skill Identifier, through completion of the Army Cyber Leader Development Program. Following graduation, I completed my M.S. in Computer Science at Purdue University as a GEM Fellow, while working at MIT Lincoln Laboratory during the summers of 2018 and 2019.
I am one of three out of the twenty students in the 17D pilot course to test ahead and successfully complete the software development Basic Skill Level Exam. In doing this, I opened the opportunity to help develop and test the curriculum that the rest of my colleagues will be working on ahead of time before moving on to a development team.
